El Río House
El Arenal, Jalisco — 2019 — Built
Located within the landscape of El Arenal, Jalisco, El Río House is conceived as a dialogue between the solidity of stone and the purity of a white volume. The project leverages the topography and existing vegetation to generate framed views and fluid transition spaces between the interior and exterior.
The structure sits on a stone plinth that anchors the house to the terrain, while the upper volume—light and white—houses the private spaces, protecting them from direct solar incidence through strategic louvers and lattices.
